Work from the 90's
Wednesday, January 16, 2008 A chair project - mid 90'sA lovely project whereby some thirty Suffolk artists were asked to make a peice of work in response to the Chair that they were given. (I think all the chairs were collected from an old school)
I was still responding to "spider" tissue cracks/fissures/wrinkles when I did this piece.

This was a piece of work made on "spider" tissue backed onto gauze. I love the idea of "spider" tissue...something so delicate and working with line (as in web)..and this piece was the depiction of a furrow in a field,crack in a pavement, wrinkle on a hand, fracture in a wall..the infinitessimal groove in the long straight road..linking yet dividing...
